General Information
General Questions - Answers
How much does a bespoke suit cost?
Our bespoke suits start from ฿10,000 and range up to ฿85,000+ depending on fabric selection, style complexity, and special features. This includes all fittings, basic alterations, and our comprehensive service. We offer transparent pricing with no hidden fees, and our team will provide a detailed quote during your consultation based on your specific requirements and fabric choices.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept cash, all major credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express), bank transfers, and mobile payment methods popular in Thailand (PromptPay, TrueMoney). For international clients, we also accept PayPal and wire transfers. Payment can be made in full or split across fittings according to your preference.
Do you require a deposit?
Yes, we require a 50% deposit to begin work on your garment. This secures your fabric allocation and allows us to start the pattern creation process. The remaining balance is due upon completion. For multiple garment orders, we can arrange flexible payment schedules to accommodate your needs.
Are alterations included in the price?
All necessary alterations during the fitting process are included in our bespoke service price. We also provide complimentary minor adjustments within the first year if your body measurements change. Major alterations due to significant weight changes may incur additional charges, which we'll discuss with you beforehand.
How long does it take to make a bespoke suit?
A complete bespoke suit typically takes 4-6 weeks from initial consultation to final delivery. This includes pattern creation, cutting, construction, and multiple fittings. The timeline may vary slightly depending on fabric availability, complexity of design, and our current order volume. We'll provide you with a specific timeline during your consultation.
How many fittings are required?
Most clients require 3-4 fittings for optimal results: initial consultation and measurement, basted fitting to check the basic shape, a forward fitting to refine details, and final fitting for delivery. Some clients may need additional fittings for complex adjustments or if they prefer extra refinement. Each fitting builds upon the previous one to ensure perfection.
What happens during the first consultation?
Your first consultation includes a detailed discussion of your style preferences, lifestyle needs, and intended use for the garment. We'll take comprehensive measurements, help you select fabrics and styling options, discuss design details, and create your unique pattern. This session typically takes 60-90 minutes and sets the foundation for your perfect garment.
Can you rush an order for special occasions?
We can accommodate rush orders for special occasions with 2-3 weeks notice, subject to our current workload and fabric availability. Rush service may incur an additional 25-50% surcharge. We recommend booking well in advance for weddings and important events to ensure ample time for fittings and any necessary adjustments.
How do you ensure the perfect fit?
We create an individual pattern based on over 40 precise measurements and postural analysis. Our experienced tailors observe how you move and stand naturally, noting any asymmetries or preferences. Through multiple fittings, we refine the fit until it's perfect. We also keep your pattern on file for future orders, ensuring consistency across all your garments.
What should I wear to a fitting?
Wear well-fitted undergarments and bring the shoes you plan to wear with your suit. For shirt fittings, a thin undershirt is recommended. If you have specific accessories like suspenders or a preferred belt, bring those as well. This helps us achieve the most accurate fit for how you'll actually wear the garment.
Can you accommodate weight changes?
Yes, we build in accommodation for minor weight fluctuations during construction. For significant changes during the process, we can adjust your garment at the fitting stage. We also offer complimentary minor adjustments within the first year and can perform major alterations if needed, though significant changes may require additional work.
Do you offer remote fittings?
While we believe in-person fittings provide the best results, we can work with international clients through detailed measurement guides and video consultations. We may also travel to major cities for trunk shows. However, for the finest results, we strongly recommend visiting our Bangkok atelier where our master tailors can provide hands-on expertise.
What fabric brands do you work with?
We source fabrics from the world's finest mills including Holland & Sherry, Dormeuil, Scabal, Loro Piana, Ermenegildo Zegna, and Cerruti. Our collection includes premium wools, silks, linens, cottons, and cashmere blends. We regularly update our fabric library with seasonal collections and can also source specific fabrics upon request.
Can I bring my own fabric?
Yes, we welcome clients who wish to provide their own fabric. Please ensure you have sufficient yardage (we'll advise on requirements) and that the fabric is suitable for your intended garment. We'll inspect the material before beginning work and discuss any special handling requirements. Our service fee remains the same minus the fabric cost.
How do I choose the right fabric?
Our expert tailors will guide you based on your lifestyle, climate considerations, intended use, and personal preferences. We consider factors like drape, durability, seasonal appropriateness, and care requirements. We encourage you to feel the fabrics and discuss your needs openly—our experience helps match you with the perfect material for your purposes.
What's the difference between fabric weights?
Fabric weight affects drape, comfort, and seasonality. Lighter weights (7-9 oz) are ideal for tropical climates and summer wear, medium weights (10-13 oz) offer versatility for year-round use, and heavier weights (14+ oz) provide structure and warmth for cooler climates. In Bangkok's climate, we typically recommend lighter to medium weights for optimal comfort.
How should I care for my bespoke garments?
We provide detailed care instructions with each garment. Generally, professional dry cleaning is recommended, with proper storage on shaped hangers. Allow garments to rest between wears, use garment bags for travel, and address stains promptly. We also offer cleaning service recommendations and periodic maintenance to keep your investment in pristine condition.
Do you offer repair services?
Yes, we provide comprehensive repair and restoration services for all garments created in our atelier. This includes re-weaving, button replacement, lining renewal, and structural repairs. We also service garments from other tailors when possible. Our goal is to help your investment clothing last for decades with proper maintenance.
What if my garment needs adjustments later?
We offer complimentary minor adjustments within the first year of delivery. This covers small changes due to settling or minor body changes. We keep detailed records and patterns for all clients, making future adjustments straightforward. Major alterations are available at reasonable rates, and we'll always assess what's possible before proceeding.
