Nordic Bespoke Tailor: a wardrobe shaped around the wearer

A first introduction to our Bangkok tailoring house: the garments we make, the decisions behind a commission, and how to plan fittings around your time in the city.

Start with how you will wear it

A suit for work, a tuxedo for a wedding and an overcoat for travel ask different things of a tailor. Before cloth is cut, there is a conversation about where the garment belongs in your life. How it should feel matters alongside how it should look.

At Nordic Bespoke Tailor, that conversation begins in Sukhumvit, Bangkok. We have been tailoring since 1999, with an approach built around the wearer’s body, posture, preferences and occasion. The aim is personal clothing with considered proportions and room for natural movement, whether you are commissioning one piece or planning a broader wardrobe.

This Journal begins with those practical foundations. Understanding the process, the price and the time needed for fittings helps you arrive with useful questions and a clearer idea of what you want made.

A pattern, then a conversation in cloth

Our tailoring services offer both made-to-measure and bespoke routes. Made-to-measure provides a faster route with fewer custom pattern steps. Bespoke begins with an individual pattern drafted for your posture and proportions, then refined through fittings. Discussing the route at your consultation makes the scope of the commission clear from the beginning.

For bespoke work, we first consider style and cloth, take measurements and agree the details. A basted, or skeleton, fitting follows: the garment is assessed for balance, comfort and movement before the final fitting and finishing. Measurements guide the work; seeing the garment on its wearer gives the next set of decisions their context.

Fit refinements during the bespoke fitting process are included. Major changes, such as those following significant changes in measurements, are discussed before proceeding. We also keep measurements, fit notes and style preferences on file to support future commissions and international reorders. That continuity is a practical part of our approach, alongside individual attention and clear communication at each fitting.

More than the two-piece suit

Our men’s commissions include suits, tuxedos, shirts, trousers, blazers and overcoats. For women, we make suits, blazers, trousers, skirts, dresses, blouses and overcoats. Business clothing, wedding attire and other formalwear each begin with the same question: what does this piece need to do for its wearer?

The choices become specific quickly. A shirt involves collar, cuff and fit preferences. Trousers call for attention to rise, seat, leg line and break. An overcoat needs proportions and layering room considered together. These details give the consultation its purpose.

We also perform alterations in-house, refining the balance, shape and length of existing garments. A new commission and an alteration are different requests; both benefit from explaining what currently feels right and what you would like adjusted.

Understand the package before choosing it

The price list separates entry and premium bespoke packages for men and women. Entry Package 1 starts at THB 7,900 and includes one jacket, one pair of trousers, one shirt, and one tie or scarf. Premium Package 1 lists approximately THB 11,900 for the same garment quantities.

The distinction is the cloth range, rather than extra pieces: entry packages use fabrics from trusted local mills, while premium options use designer cloths from Italian and English mills. Larger packages build on those quantities. Package 2 includes two jackets, two pairs of trousers, three shirts, and two ties or scarves, listed at THB 16,900 for entry and approximately THB 25,500 for premium.

The additional-garment list applies within the same order and fitting timeline. Examples start at THB 1,000 for a shirt, THB 5,000 for a blazer and THB 5,000 for a women’s dress. Cloth selection, design complexity and special features affect the final price; we confirm a quote before work begins.

Give the fittings a place in your itinerary

Many commissions can be completed in two to three days, depending on cloth, complexity and fitting availability. We confirm the timeline before starting. Rush work depends on the current schedule and cloth availability, and a surcharge may apply. Share a travel or event deadline early so we can advise what is realistic.

Our showroom is at 390/18 Sukhumvit Soi 18, Bangkok, open daily from 9:30 AM to 10:00 PM. Walk-ins are welcome when the schedule allows, but booking ahead reserves time for cloth selection, measurements and consultation. Contact us with your visit dates, garment request and deadline; reference photographs are welcome too. From there, we can plan the commission and fitting schedule together.
