Jacket & Shirt Measurements
These measurements determine the balance and drape of your upper body garments.
Ensure the tape is flat against the body but not tight.
Neck
Measure the neck circumference from below the Adam's apple/lower part of the neck. While measuring put one finger between the neck and the measuring tape.
Shoulder
Measure the shoulder width from one shoulder to another. Take the measurement from outer edges of the shoulders. You can use a good fitting shirt and measure from shoulder seam to another.
Sleeve
Measure the sleeve length starting from the same point where shoulder measurement ended. Measure along outer side of your arm to the point where thumb begins. While measuring, your arms should be relaxed.
Chest
Measure the chest circumference below armpits from the widest part of your chest. Hang your arms on your side and remember to breathe normally.
Waist
Measure the waist circumference from the height of your navel. Breathe normally.
Hips
Take the measurement from the widest part of your seat.
Length
Measure from the base of your neck down to the desired jacket length (typically at hip level or just below).
Front Chest
Measure the chest width from the same place where you measured the chest circumference. Take the measurement from the line of your armpit to another.
Back Width
Measure the back width from the same place where you measured the chest circumference. Take the measurement from the line of your armpit to another from the back.
Biceps
Measure your bicep circumference from the widest part of your bicep. Let your arm hang relaxed.

Trouser Measurements
Determine the rise and break of your trousers.
We generally recommend measuring while wearing a pair of trousers that fit you well as a reference.
Wasit
Measure your waist circumference from the height where you want the pants to be. Use well fitting pants and take the measurement over the pants without belt.
Hip
Take the measurement from the widest part of your seat.
Crotch
Start taking the measurement from the same place where you took the waist circumference. Run the measuring tape from the waistline height between your legs ending on the waistline height on your backside. You can adjust to desired tightness or use well fitting pants as a guideline.
Thighs
Take the measurement from the widest part of your thigh.
Length
Start taking the measurement from the same place where you took the waist circumference. Slide the measuring tape down along side of your leg all the way to the floor.

Frequently Asked Questions

How long does the measurement form take?

Most clients complete the form in 10–15 minutes. If it’s your first time measuring, allow 20–30 minutes.

A soft measuring tape is best. If you don’t have one, you can use a string + ruler. Wear a thin T-shirt and well-fitting trousers for the most accurate results.

Keep the tape snug but not tight, it should sit flat against the body without compressing. If you’re unsure, measure twice and use the more comfortable reading.

Use whichever you’re comfortable with just stay consistent. If possible, we recommend cm for precision. Round to the nearest 0.5 cm (or ¼ inch).

We take comprehensive measurements and assess posture and balance, not just standard sizing. This information becomes the foundation of your individual pattern.

Bring the shoes you plan to wear with the garment and wear well-fitting undergarments. If you have inspiration photos or a garment you like the fit of, bring that too.
